Ismet Ramičević

Ismet Ramičević (born in 1960 in Dubnica near Sjenica, Serbia) is a sculptor and university professor who lives and works in Skopje, North Macedonia. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, where he also completed his postgraduate studies and went on to pursue a distinguished academic career as a professor of sculpture, mentoring numerous generations of artists.

His artistic practice encompasses sculpture, drawing, and spatial interventions, characterized by an exploration of the relationships between human beings, space, memory, and cultural identity. Through a contemporary sculptural language, he creates works of strong symbolic and humanistic character, connecting personal experience with universal themes of human existence.

Ramičević has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in North Macedonia and abroad and has participated in international art symposia and projects. His works are represented in public spaces, museum collections, and private collections across several European countries.

As one of the prominent representatives of contemporary Macedonian sculpture, Ismet Ramičević has continuously contributed to the development of regional art through both his artistic and pedagogical work, developing a distinctive artistic language that bridges tradition and contemporary artistic practices.
