Andrej Tisma

ANDREJ TIŠMA was born in 1952 in Novi Sad, Serbia. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 1976. He has been exhibiting his work in solo exhibitions since 1972, with shows held in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Milan, Seoul, New York, San Francisco, London, Budapest, Tokyo, and Bremen.

Since 1969, he has participated in more than 600 group exhibitions in his home country and in approximately 40 countries worldwide. His artistic practice encompasses concrete poetry, mail art, stamp art, photography, performance, electrography, video, web art, and music.

Since 1976, he has also published art criticism and essays in numerous newspapers, magazines, as well as on radio and television.

Tišma is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (Extended Media Section), the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Vojvodina (Theory and Criticism Section), the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), and the International Association of Writers and Artists (Blafton, USA).

He lives and works in Novi Sad.
