Alija Kamber

Alija Kamber (1974) is a Bosnian visual artist living and working in Tuzla. His practice encompasses painting, photography, drawing, and interdisciplinary art projects. He received his artistic training in the studio of painter Miladin Lukić and studied Journalism at the University of Tuzla.

Kamber is the founder of the artistic initiatives Manufaktura and SCENA, as well as the creator of the travelling gallery Grundilo, a project dedicated to bringing art closer to audiences beyond conventional gallery spaces. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. His work explores the relationship between people, place, and everyday life, combining documentary elements, personal experience, and contemporary artistic practices.
