“BTO Painting” (Bosnian Theology of Liberation) was conceived in 2010 in the Skenderija shopping center, within a small boutique which the author occupied thanks to Jusuf Hadžifejzović and the CeKa "Charlama" project titled Subdokumenta (alongside other colleagues who were granted temporary use of other business spaces).
Since then, "BTO Painting" has been exhibited on several occasions:

This series of drawings maps the traces that the past century left on entire generations, imagining the directions in which it could have evolved and how it might have come to life within an alternative culture, counterculture, art, or even a potential art movement.
Damir Nikšić has exhibited throughout Europe and the world, including the Ars Aevi Museum of Contemporary Art, Sarajevo; the National Museum of Montenegro, Cetinje; the Trevi Flash Art Museum, Trevi; the Center for Cultural Decontamination, Belgrade; the National Museum, Szczecin; the National Gallery, Skopje; the Kyoto Art Center, Kyoto; the Palazzo delle Papesse Center for Contemporary Art, Siena; the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York; the Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw; the Tallinn Art Hall, Tallinn; the Locarno Film Festival, Locarno; the Ludwig Museum, Budapest; the Sammlung Essl, MUMOK Museum, and the Palais Liechtenstein Museum of Modern Art, Vienna; the Saint-Etienne Métropole Museum of Modern Art, the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, Prague, and the 50th Venice Biennale.
